Farm2Me Norwalk, CT: 25 Best Food & Bev in Norwalk

I remember when we started in 2010....

In partnership with

Ilana Eck, the visionary behind Stylish Spoon—a healthy, allergy-friendly bakery in South Norwalk, CT—effortlessly balances her role as CEO with a life intertwined with the vibrant rhythms of Fairfield County. Her ideal day weaves together wellness, creativity, and meaningful connection, seamlessly merging her dedication to business and family while staying true to her passion for nourishing others.

Mornings for Ilana often begin at Equinox in Southport. Whether she's lifting weights (because those bags of flour and farmers market tents don’t move themselves!) or unwinding in a yoga class with Lisa Giordano. The yoga studio’s serene setting, overlooking the Southport Park on one side and the dynamic hum of I-95 on the other, provides the perfect balance of calm and energy.

When time allows, Ilana meets a friend—often another local business owner or chef—for a power walk. Their favorite route runs from the Delamar Hotel to Burying Hill Beach, offering a mix of beach views and inspiration from the historic homes along Beachside Avenue. Sometimes, she’ll stop for tea at Shearwater Coffee Bar or pop into Foxtrot Home for antiques that double as photo shoot props and treasures for her Greens Farms home.

As a mom and a business owner, Ilana believes in the importance of fresh, organic ingredients for both her family and her bakery. She frequents Fairfield County’s farmers’ markets, sourcing seasonal flavors for Stylish Spoon’s baked OatMEAL Cups. Her favorite markets include Westport, Rowayton, New Canaan, and Fairfield, where she supports local farms like Fort Hill, Riverbank, Sport Hill, and Woodland.

On the weekends, Ilana can entice her kids to join her at the markets with the promise of Bees Knees ice pops, Kombucha from Cross Culture Kombucha , or decaf Cold Romans from Raus’s Coffee.

When the markets aren’t open, Ilana loves to pop into Double L market for pristine produce, or pick up a green juice and sprouts at the Organic Market. Both stores also carry Stylish Spoon’s products so she can check on stock when she’s in there.

For Ilana, lunch is a chance to recharge during busy bakery days. She’ll grab a quick bite at Nit Noi, conveniently located down the hall from her bakery, enjoying their cozy bone broth topped with fried garlic, chilis, and bok choy. When she has time to meet a friend for lunch, she heads to Art Space Cafe in Norwalk. Just a 5-minute drive from the bakery, it’s her go-to spot for a matcha latte with pistachio milk and a vibrant Green Goddess salad packed with avocado, toasted pistachios, and watermelon radishes. Yum!

Evenings bring a chance for Ilana to unwind. When she’s not cooking dinner for her family, she’s enjoying a meal with her husband at one of her favorite local spots, like OKO in Westport, savoring dishes like their shaved cabbage and pear salad with walnut miso dressing or gluten-free crispy spicy salmon. For drinks, the Gingered Ninja tequila cocktail is her top choice.

On occasion, they’ll head to NoMadē after, to their cozy local bar downtown, for a glass of Sancerre before heading home. Her nighttime ritual is steeped in relaxation: she brews a cup of local Arogya Banana Chamomile tea with a sprinkle of goji berries, lights Flora Co candles, and unwinds in an Epsom salt bath. Before bed, Ilana spritzes her pillow with Herbal Deva’s essential oil sleep spray, ensuring a peaceful night’s rest.

For Ilana, life is a beautiful balance of family, community, and purpose. From sourcing local ingredients to supporting neighborhood businesses, she embodies the ethos of Stylish Spoon: Nourishing people with wholesome, thoughtful creations.
